Service content

OP Media is a digital customer media for OP’s owner-customers and corporate customers. The purpose of the service is to help customers master their own finances and businesses to succeed.

OP Media enforces OP Financial Group’s mission: we create sustainable prosperity, security and wellbeing for our owner-customers and in our operating environment.

OP Media produces useful, important and entertaining content about money, such as matters related to financial management, investment, housing, wellbeing, leisure time and business. The service covers daily issues and major points in a person’s life that we all want to manage as smoothly, quickly and safely as possible.  

The service also markets the products and services provided by companies under OP Financial Group. You should not take anything presented in the service as an investment recommendation.

These constitute the terms of use of OP Media’s website. Please read these terms carefully before you use OP Media’s website. By using the site, you indicate that you accept these terms of use.

The service includes content related to the operations of companies under OP Financial Group. All Group companies are individually called “Service Provider” in these terms.

OP Financial Group comprises OP Cooperative, its Group companies (such as OP Corporate Bank plc, Pohjola Insurance Ltd and OP Life Assurance Company), OP Cooperative's member banks, OP-Eläkesäätiö and OP Bank Group Pension Fund, and other existing and future companies, entities and foundations, over which at least one of the aforementioned organisations alone or together exercises control.

OP Financial Group credit institutions, financial services providers and insurance companies form a financial and insurance conglomerate referred to in the Act on the Supervision of Financial and Insurance Conglomerates (699/2004).

Third party online services

The Service Provider shall not be responsible for the content or operation of any other online services or internet sites available through the Service in any part. When transferring to other online services or internet sites linked to the Service, the user understands that these services or sites are not controlled by the Service Provider and that the Service Provider has no power to affect their content. If a third party operator’s link is included in the Service, this does not mean that the Service Provider advertises its services or sites in any manner or form.

The Service includes a blog section with content written by the authors to represent their personal opinions. OP Financial Group companies do not participate in writing this content. The Service Provider is not responsible for the accuracy of the blog section.

The material may be viewed and browsed on, and saved to, the customer’s terminal equipment, and parts thereof may be printed out for personal use. The copying, saving, reproduction, adaptation, modification, transfer, assignment or other exploitation for commercial purposes of any material presented on the website is prohibited.

Applicable law and settlement of disputes

The use of the Service and these terms of use are subject to Finnish law. Any disputes based on these terms and conditions or the related Service shall be primarily settled through negotiations between the parties. If this is not possible, the disputes are resolved at the Helsinki District Court serving as the court of first instance.  

Entry into force and amendment of the terms and conditions

These terms and conditions are published on the Service’s website. These terms of use enter into force on the date of the update and will remain effective until further notice. The Service Provider shall have the right to change the terms and conditions, and the new terms shall enter into force when they are published in the Service. The users will be notified of the changed terms in the Service.
